Jazz at Lincoln Center presented two major large-ensemble pieces by members of its orchestra last week: “God’s Trombones,” by the trombonist Chris Crenshaw, and “Inferno,” by the saxophonist Sherman Irby.
Over the next week and a half, musicians will take part in Jazzrael, a festival of jazz and world music presented by the Israeli Consulate in New York.
